Background

• The webinar is part of ITUC global actions to celebrate International Migrants Day to shine spotlight on the plight, rights, and contributions of the millions or migrants all over the world.  ITUC will also publish a statement for 18 December focusing on organising migrant workers and collective bargaining.
• The webinar will be a short session targeting unions and NGOs working with migrant workers. The objectives will be to raise awareness on fair recruitment initiative and importance of organizing migrant workers. In relation to the NGOs audience, the objective is to demonstrate the relevance of unions in upholding migrant workers’ rights.
• The webinar will be live broadcasted on ITUC social media accounts.
